Nearly New Sales

The Parent Network Nearly New Sales are the highlight of many a local parent's shopping year. Nearly New Sales are held twice a year - the Autumn / Winter sale is normally held in September, and the Spring / Summer sale is scheduled for late March / early April. In addition, a Nearly New Toy Sale is held in November providing an opportunity to buy some quality items at exceptional prices just in time for Christmas.

If you (whether a Parent Network member or not) would like to submit items to the next Nearly New Sale, you will need to obtain one of our Seller's Packs.

In addition to being able to submit items for sale on the day, a noticeboard is provided at the Nearly New Sale on which you may advertise items which, for space or for health & safety reasons, cannot currently be accepted for the sale (for example, playhouses, jungle gyms, single buggies, etc). Write the details on a postcard and bring it along to the Victory Hall, Warsash Road, Warsash on Friday, 12th September 2008, between 9.30am and 1pm. Postcards cost 50p each to display and may contain as many items as you wish.

Seventy-five percent of the funds raised from items sold at the Nearly New Sales are retained by the seller, whilst the remaining 25% of sales goes to the Parent Network. To gain insight into the good to which this 25% is put, click here...

Want to get involved?
Meetings to discuss the running of the Nearly New Sale are held in the weeks preceding each sale, and a wash-up meeting following the sale provides a forum for discussion of potential improvements, resolution of hiccups and feedback on the funds raised. As a Parent Network member attendance at these meetings and assistance with the setting up and running of the sale count in your favour as you will be rewarded with preferential shopping time prior to the main sale. We are always looking for helpers from the Parent Network membership to assist at the Nearly New Sales.
